THERE IS A PARTY GOING ON IN HEAVEN
Last Monday, Maria asked Jesus to be her Savior!!!! In October I shared with you a bit about Maria and asked you to join us in praying for her.
Maria has been a friend of our teammate, Betsy, and our family for the past 8 years. We have loved on Maria tons letting her see Jesus living inside of us. She has made baby steps in understanding who Jesus is to her over these last 8 years. In the last 2 years we have been soo excited to see her want to read the Bible and embrace in a real way the truth of God's Word. But she was still full of fear of what it would mean to actually give her whole heart to Jesus.
Three weeks ago she came to friendship Sunday at church and shared with us her need for some "spiritual" healing as she called it. That Monday she asked Betsy to study the book of John with her...and a week later they found themselves studying chapter 3.
After talking through the story of Nicademous and that awesome verse that we all learn as children..."for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life."...Maria prayed with Betsy to ask Jesus to come and take over her heart...to forgive her of her sins...to give her life, hope, and an eternity with Him.
WOW!!!! We have spent the week rejoicing...crying...praising Jesus...
AND we are filled with hope for the many others of our Spanish friends that as of yet have not made that leap of faith to trust Jesus.
God answers prayer...maybe not as fast as we would like...but in His time...and His time is perfect.
Yeah Jesus!!!!
